Hi All! Glad I found this forum. I am 45 and just FINALLY was diagnosed with Lyme Disease after a couple years of health problems.

I am seeking an LLMD in Southern CA to help with treatment. After my initial internet research I can see why finding such a doctor is a priority.

I have most all of the classic symptoms for chronic Lyme with Lyme Arthritis of the knees, nerve pain, fatigue, and brain fog topping the list.

My arthritis is so bad that my Ortho wants to do knee replacement but I developed a "mystery" pain that starts at the knee and runs down my shin into my foot. I think he think I am crazy since he couldn't find the cause. He says he doesn't know what it is (after many tests) and wants to send me to pain management and to come back and see him when I have decided on the knee replacement.

I now know that this mystery pain is probably nerve damage from the Lyme Disease. Too bad he didn't think to test for Lyme disease when an other wise healthy 42 year old active woman has complete knee failure within 2 years.

I am sure you have seen it all and my brief story is nothing new.

I will begin my journey here. Doing lots of research to advocate for myself with the help of lots of friendly, like-minded people, I am sure.

Thanks for reading and any help or advice would be a Godsend!!!

Hi - pming you -

If you want, you could make a post in Medical Questions or General Support about your symptoms and experience and people would respond with comments there.

Or you can just wait for the doctor! Your choice.
