For over a year now, I have been experiencing strange symptoms. Ive seen many different doctors, but none of them have been able to diagnose my problems. Recently, I started having issues with my right knee. It swelled up so much that I couldnt walk or even bend it. I didnt do anything specific to it, but I thought it was due to some recent workouts that I have been doing. I ended up going to the Sports Medicine doctor. I had an XRay and MRI. They couldnt find anything obvious. I had the knee drained twice. On the second time, the doctor decided to run some tests on the liquid that was drained. Needless to say, it came up positive for Lyme Disease.
He recommended that I take doxycycline once a day for 21 days. But I would like to discuss my options with a doctor who specializes in Lyme Disease. This is why I am looking for a LLMD in Quakertown, PA, or the surrounding areas in PA or NJ.
I really appreciate your help!! Thanks in advance.

One dose of Doxy is nowhere nearly enough to treat Lyme Disease. You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
Btw - I know you are new to Lymenet, but please break up your posts into 2-3 sentence paragraphs, as there are people on Lymenet who cannot read large blocks of text due to neurological problems from Lyme.
To do this click the pencil/paper icon, make your changes, then click "Edit Post". Thanks.

I grew up in Quakertown and now live in NJ. Over the past 12 years I have seen just about every LLMD in NJ. I will pm you with names and experiences. DW
