So looks like I will be traveling so someone please let me know of a couple of good llmds to try. Also is there a supplemental insurance that I could get that would cover some of the costs ?

I am not aware of any supplemental insurance in existence that would help with lyme doctor costs.

If your insurance allows you to go to doctors who don't take insurance, they probably allow you to submit a claim yourself for reimbursement when you do this.

You can get perhaps a third or more of the cost of the doctor's fee back from insurance by doing this.

I did this. Also, your insurance should still cover the medications the lyme doc prescribes and the routine blood tests. You can submit a claim for any blood tests that you have to pay for out of pocket.

Also, I recommend a doctor near Washington, D.C. I sent poster "me" to him and she is among the many happy lyme patients that are being treated by him.

Let me know if you want more info on him.

I'm also seeing the LLMD that TF recommends. I have been happy thus far. I've only seen him twice, but he knows his stuff for sure.

Yup, I'm super happy with him. TF referred me to him about a year ago. I've come quite a ways with him. He is great!
