Some who specializes in Lyme with neuro symptoms also a Lyme Neurologist also would help

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for MA & NH; also CT (LL Neurologist) .

You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!

A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.

Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. You need to go where they are.

I don't know of any LL Neurologists in MA.

Also, most LLMDs do not take insurance due to the politics surrounding this disease. Read poster TF's explanation about this:

When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this.

Read the book written by the top LLMD, Dr. H, titled, "Why Can't I Get Better?". It is an excellent source of information.

Also "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Check your local library or buy it used on Amazon.

Thank you, do you if DR H in Mass is considered a LLMD?
Also any dr in southeastern MA/RI as we are south of Boston so NH don't work for us

There is a nurse practitioner in RI, if I'm not mistaken. Hopefully, someone has the info.

Thank you for the info! I just spoke to her office yesterday and was able to get an appt in March, but I am on the cancellation list. Thanks for all your help!
