I've had a undiagnosable seizure disorder for several years.
My (grown) daughter recently read me a list of common symptoms of Lyme, and I have them all.
8 years after the fact, my mother remembers the doc in the hospital recommending I get rechecked for Lyme, but I was drugged out of my mind at the time & don't remember him saying such.
Flash forward, I'd really like to get checked by someone who knows what he or she is doing!
(It would be especially wonderful if that someone took my insurance. ;}
You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
Please read the following about LLMDs and Texas which was recently posted about TX:
"Texas is not a great place to find a good Lyme doctor. Texas threatens its Lyme doctors and gets them to move or stop practicing without notice.
Then, if they start up again a year or so later, they do it to them again. So, there really are few Lyme doctors there and no top notch ones.
Because of the sorry state of affairs in Texas, many folks from Texas are coming to the East Coast for testing and treatment for Lyme disease and it's co-infections.
Read what other Texans wrote in this thread about trying to get proper care in Texas:

Theresa .. It is best NOT to display our full names on this very public board. Insurance companies can make our lives uncomfortable.
You will need to delete your name from your signature. I will edit the one from your post .. but you have to take care of the signature by going into your profile.
Let me know if you need help.
Welcome!
