If anyone has any information or experience with either or both Dr. B's in NY, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.
Thanks, Kimiob321

Kim, do you think you just got lyme or have you been very sick for a long time?
If you have been sick for a long time and so have likely had lyme for a long time, not any doctor will do.
In that case, you really want to go to a very good lyme specialist. A lyme specialist is one whose practice is basically just lyme disease.
That means that all they see is lyme patients and they have developed a lot of expertise with this disease. That's the type of doctor it generally takes if you have had lyme for a long time.
If you just got bitten, you can be helped by doctors with less expertise.
Once you tell me what category you are in, I will be able to advise you on whether any of the lyme docs in NY would be a good choice for you.

I am not sure how long I have had it. My primary doctor was sending me for routine blood work and I asked him to include the lyme test. I tested positive.
I am not aware of ever being bitten by a tick; I've never even seen a tick on my body. I do, however, have symptoms (for several years) that indicate I could have Lyme.
I need a good LLMD who can evaluate me correctly.

I sent you some names and LOTS of information.
You must educate yourself so that you are then able to pick the best lyme doctor you can afford. That gives you the best possible chance of getting rid of this disease.
Welcome to LymeNet! Good for you for asking for a doctor here. We will help you all we can.
