This is “the” Dr C (female) who is well known and respected in the lyme community.

Looking for feedback from anyone who has firsthand experience as a patient of hers, good or bad. Anyone see her as an LLMD recently?

Been on her wait list for few years and now have opportunity to become patient. Have initial appt set for next month, but not sure I want to change from my current lyme doctor.

Need to decide in the next week, so weighing the pros/cons. I’m aware of how expensive she is, which is one deterrent.

Anyone with firsthand experience? Or know someone directly who has had firsthand experience?

Did you decide what to do????

I think I am on wait list for same dr.

When I first got very ill years ago I called her office. when I heard there was a wait list I was devistated. I put my name on and tried lots of cheaper ways. I think the most I paid was $600/hr for a dr that knew probably about 30% of what the big guns knew at the time, but that is the best I could afford. Dr C office then called and again declined because of money.

we spent every cent we had and I did all kinds of treatments including alternative. I got better, yes, but now after about a year of seeing good progress I now am feeling some backwards swimming. a lot more than I feel comfortable with.

So now I called her office again a few months ago and was told 18 month waitlist. I am saving up the cash, hopesfully, and have hope since I asked them several times if they can help people like me-

people with lyme, etc. for 20 or more years with lots of damage, and the woman on the phone told me the can. So I am trying to be hopeful and get to that appt some day.

kah, what makes you like your current dr so much, just curious? and how sick are you?

Lymetoo….thank you for your response.

Lisa….

I decided against seeing her, for a few reasons.

First, the cost. Second, because I’m in the middle of LDI (low dose immunotherapy) for lyme & co’s wi/current doc and don’t want to abandon it yet since may be close to target dose which might help me.

My current doc is nowhere near as knowledgeable as Dr C, but he’s good. His cost is reasonable after the initial visit (although follow-up visits are only 20 minutes) and he’s close to my home.

One of the main reasons I decided to see him is he offers alternative treatment options to high dose combo abx or herbs, although he does offer those as well. Besides low dose immunotherapy, he has ozone (including 10-pass), ultra violet blood irradiation w/ozone, IV Vitamin C, etc.

After so many abx my gut was destroyed, and then when I tried 100% herbal protocol, I had trouble tolerating even most support herbs, at least partly due to my mast cell activation/histamine issues. So I had to figure out how to treat without so many oral meds/herbs.

I also believe I have had lyme for 30+ years, it just didn’t all become clear until after tick bite in 2010.

I really hope you’re able to get appt w/her some day, and I hope I never regret turning my chance down!

yeah, I passed her up a few years ago after waiting, so I am trying to hang in there and hold out. it is VERY hard to do so. I am having weird sx pop up almost daily. and no other tx right now.
best of luck to all of us!!!
