My 42 year old son has been ill at least 10 years. Hard to say what causes what. About half the time he tests positive for Lyme. He was tested for Babesia I think and was negative.

He also had black mold contact from apt they lived in for six months. First noticed problems with high blood pressure. Then a grand mal seizure. Then severe stomach pain and nausea. No insurance all this time so he would go to ER to get IV fluid and sent home. Dx with IBS.

Big problems started after that. He had acute pancreatitis and was in ICU FOR 10 days. Developed chronic Pancreatitis. Started having pain - trigger finger I think. But he just felt weird and in pain, joints hurt. Went to my dr who treats CFS, Fibro, Lyme. Not Lyme certafied though but Bloodwork came back positive for Lyme and Epstein Barr. Put on antibiotics and pain medicine.

Since then, he has been dxd Pancreatitis inherited High, high Triglyceride Pancreatitis. Sometimes Triglyceride has been as high as 5400. (100 is target. ). Bp as high as 245/146. Heart rate as high as 175.

He has also had a hip break in two and had to be replaced. Might be susceptible to other joints failing. He has been dxd with GERD, diverticulitis, hiatal hernia, very low immune, etc. liver numbers indicate fatty liver. I think he may have H Pylori.

His wife doesn’t have insurance but has uncontrolled epilepsy, H Pylori, Fibromyalgia.

I have Lyme, CFS, Fibro, as well as now Alzheimer’s.

My son has gotten more and more overwhelmed. His father died last year from dementia and I was just dxd with Alzheimer’s, my mother also has Alzheimer’s. He has Central apnea and can’t get mask to stay on so he is completely exhausted.

He was so depressed he flushed pain medication down the toilet. He wants to feel healthy and not dependent on pain meds. He is now going through detox. But they think he needs comprehensive care in a special place to get everything addressed. They want him to go to a place in Florida for two months which his insurance doesn’t cover. But the stress of illness and having to take care of me and his wife is too much. I have some help, but he still has a lot on his shoulders.

I was wondering if I could find some money, maybe a residential treatment would be best. We are near Houston. I was wondering if anyone had advice.

That is so overwhelming. My heart goes out to you and your family.

I live in Missouri, but I'm from Houston. If I hear anything, I'll let you know.

Prayers go with you.
