You can request a LLMD through Lyme Disease Association here;
These are easy e-mail formats that you fill out. There is a message box where you can write you are seeking a Bartonella expert.
Make sure to research each and all doctors. To do this, Google for patient reviews. You can also join the Lyme support group that is close to the LLMD's practice.
Your daughter needs to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. She needs to go where they are. At least half of all Lyme patients travel out-of-state for proper care.
Also most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":
Read the books written by the top LLMD, Dr. H, titled, "Why Can't I Get Better?" and "How Can I Get Better?". They are an excellent source of information.
Also read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. View "Under Our Skin" and "Under Our Skin2: Emergence". Check your local library or buy them used on online.

Welcome to Lymenet. We can help you find a Lyme Litterate Medical Doctor(LLMD). Regular main-stream doctors are not trained in Tick Borne Infections. If you get a good LLMD you can get better.
Research any LLMD referred to you. To do this google for patient reviews or join your area's support groups. Support groups offer tons of information and first-hand experiences with your area's LLMD'S. Here's some of your support groups;
You must be your own health-care advocate. Research all you can on Tick Borne Infections. Lyme is VERY complicated and expensive to treat. Ulitize lymenet's 'search' engine to learn about our members experiences with various treatment protocols. Post any questions you may have in the open forum and someone will respond. We are all in this together.
I will send you a private message.

NJHelena - you should write a separate post in "Seeking a Doctor" instead of adding onto an existing one, because most people don't re-read old posts.
