Welcome to Lymenet Sirkingren
LOVE your attitude, we will help in anyway. 💚
You must become your own patient advocate.(looks like you are). Research as much as your abilities allow on all things Lyme. Utilize Lymenet’s ‘search’ engine located in the middle of home page. It contains a vast range of knowledge from Lyme patients first-hand experiences.
This is REQUIRED reading, copy and paste so you can refer back to it. It was written by one of the top LLMD’s and is widely followed as the standard treatment for Lyme and Co-Infections.
Advanced Topics in Lyme Disease Diagnostic Hints and Treatment Guidelines for Lyme and Other Illnesses by Dr Joseph Burrascano Jr https://www.lymenet.org/BurrGuide200810.pdf
Lyme Disease is expensive to treat. In order to save money, be prepared for your 1st appointment, which will be the most expensive and the longest, 1 -3 hours. Make a folder to bring all of your previous tests, blood work results, medical treatments and medical providers, all medications, a symptoms list, a journal to track daily changes and a question list for LLMD.
These are simple e-mail formats that you fill out and they respond with LLMD’s closest to where you live. It is important to research each LLMD that is referred to you. To do this, google for patients reviews or join your area’s local Lyme support groups. Support groups love to help others in their community. Here’s your Lyme support group; https://www.facebook.com/groups/260106244032955/about/
Also, if you should have any questions or need any help, please post your questions in Lymenet’s open forum and a Lymenet member will answer with their own experiences.
We are all in this together
I will send you a private message. Good luck to you on your healing journey.

You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list (call every day if you have to!). Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this.
Contact the TX Lyme Support Groups - they would know better about TX.
Read the books written by the top LLMD, Dr. H, titled, "Why Can't I Get Better?" and "How Can I Get Better?". They are an excellent source of information.
Also read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Get it at your local library or buy it used online.
