Hi guys, I haven't been here for awhile but Im back lol

Just found out this morning my LLMD (Dr F in Charlottesville) is retiring. I am DEVESTATED to say the least. I have been seeing him since 2010 and credit him with keeping me at the very least out of a wheelchair and at most dead.

I am at a total loss on which way to turn.

I have lyme, babasia and bartonella.

To add insult to injury I came down with Covid on the 11th of this month (after already having it previously), strugglling with breathing problems now and also diagnosed with breast cancer end of Nov. I have seen 2 surgeons locally and waiting to get into UVA for another consult.

To say the least I am "all over the place" right now.

I have spent over 2 1/2 hrs trying to find LLMD doctors online.. There doesn't look like any active support groups in my area at all AND I could never get past the initial registration page of ILADS to search for physicians.

I am in Central Va but could be willing to travel a few hours for "right" Dr.

ANY help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and blessings [Smile]

Yes, it is very difficult to lose a good LLMD, considering they are far and few between to begin with! You certainly have a lot to deal with!

PM sent for VA & DC.

Here are some links for VA Lyme Support Groups:

Very sorry to hear about your struggles.
Losing such a knowledgeable Lyme doc is truly heartbreaking.
Please know we are all sending healing wishes your way.

The ILADS website is confusing but please try Global Lyme Alliance website. They will connect you with LLMD’s closest to you, along with whatever feedback they have available.

Also contact Natcap for Virginia Lyme support group listings;

Sending you a pm.
