I know this is a long shot but I have to try... I'm asking for a family member who we think might have long term undiagnosed lyme but is unable/unwilling to see a doctor that won't take insurance. Any suggestions? If yes, please PM me. Thanks in advance!

Welcome back Mathias
New Mexico is sparse for LLMD's but I have a few in and around Santa Fe. None of these LLMD's participate with insurances unfortunately.
The following organizations have ILADS trained LLMD’s. (International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society)
These are simple e-mail formats that you fill out, send and they reply with LLMD’s closest to you. It is important that you research each LLMD referred to you. To do this, google for patient reviews or join your area’s Lyme Support Group.
I found NO active Lyme Support group in New Mexico.
Since your family member refuses to commit to an LLMD at this time, TELEHEALTH might be an option. Many LLMD's offer telehealth but only AFTER the intial in-person appointmen.
But there are a few that will telemedicine with your primary or doctor of your choice. Maybe get you started with an IGeneX test, which Medicare will cover part.
I'll send you LLMD's in New Mexico. Also a telemedicine option. Good luck to your family member

Perfect example of 'everything happens for a reason.'
My mistake resulted in me finding you 2 providers who accept insurances!
Sending pm for New Jersey. 😀
