I heard that his follow-up appointments are very brief, but that was not first hand information. I'd contact a support group in your area. They should have feedback on him.

He was at the Hope to Heal conference. I also remember someone's son or daughter was seeing him but I forget which poster. (Maybe you will receive some posts regarding him.)
He would be a start for you before you see Dr. J. and you could see if he would agree to consultation with Dr. J.
