A person who posted as Stella was treated in Mexico, where she lived at the time. You might be able to search her name and send her a private message.
As someone who lived in Mexico many years, it seems to me that doctors tend to be more accomodating there. I doubt you would find an expert but, if you have your own informed ideas about what you need, you could probably get cooperation without much difficulty.
Also, antibitics are generally sold over the counter and, generally, are FAR less expensive. A lot of seniors cross over to buy with minimal, if any, difficulties at the border.
As an aside, medical education is free there. However, graduates are required to do one year of public service in a public health clinic or hospital. The profession seems to be much more humble, although that is a trait that is valued in that culture.
