Hello!
My daughter has begun experiencing some involuntary movements that seem to be related to a balance problem. It's like she can't stand straight and she sways/jerks back and forth to "right" herself. Very annoying for her of course, and it worries me. She has also had lots of dizziness. Anyone know a good neuro in the Baltimore-Wash. area?
Thanks. PM me if you need to.

Is your daughter currently being treated by a LLMD? If so, and if her symptoms are Lyme-related, her doctor should be able to treat for them. I'm not aware of a LL neurologist in the MD/DC area, though.

Yes, Marian. We travel to CT to see Dr. J. She has been on Doxy for almost 2 years now. Joint pain is almost a non-issue at this point, and we are working with a wonderful PT to help her gain more strength and general conditioning. These neuro symptoms are new though, and a litle worrisome. She has had brain fog, etc. all along, but not all this.

Thanks for listening [kiss]
Denise

I'm really sorry that I can't help you locate anyone. Have you tried support groups in all of the surrounding states? Somebody at one of them may, hopefully, know of a specialist for your daughter. I'm sure that you are extremely worried.

Denise,

As far as I know, there are no lyme literate neurologists in the area. I have involuntary movements from Lyme myself. It is a very disturbing symptom and it has been increasing.

I understand your concern and your wanting to get your daughter to a neurologist. My guess is that your only choices will be non-lyme literate.

Does your physical therapist have any recommendations for you?
