Finally got an appointment with a supposed LLMD at Stony Brook. Treated for EM by my local Dermatologist with standard 21 day course of Doxy. Finished antibiotics on 8/21. Still have mark where EM was. Feel awfull. Fatigue, head, neck, jaw pain. This is the second time since 2004 that I have been treated for Lyme. I no longer have the energy or time to mess around with conservative treatment options. Since Stony Brook is a teaching hospital, I figured finding a ID specialist who deals with Lyme would be best. Can anyone share their experiences with specific physicians at Stony Brook? I do not want to mention the doctor's name here, but send me a private message please.

What part of NY are you from? Please send me a private message (click on the picture of the envelope with 2 people above this) and I'll get back to you with a list of 'real' LLMD's!
I've got Open House tonight at the high school where I teach so you may not hear from me until tomorrow morning.

I don't remember if I Pmd or not. It is my understanding that Stony Brook Lab is excellent, but docs are not.
I think you need to find LLMD and take copies of labs there to be treated properly.
Good Luck!
