Does anyone know who the most aggressive doctor in the US is in treating Lyme Disease. This is a pretty open-ended question, I know, but would love to get anybody's opinion.

Agressive may not be the right word, but I know exactly what you mean.
I've been helping my 28 year old daughter fight Lyme Disease for over 6 years now.
Once we finally found an excellent doctor who really understands the disease, it was clear to me, at least, that this battle would take a long time.
My daughter's doctor told her at the second or third visit that the healing process would take at least 3 years, if not longer.
He never promised complete healing, but he did say that substantial improvement of her health could be attained within 3 years.
We're at the 18th month and her health is steadily improving. She is still quite ill and is quite disabled, but like I said, she's making steady improvements.
If you've just begun your battle, please try to remain positive. Find a good Lyme Literate MD and start the process.
Our doctor is in NorCal, but the 700 mile round trip visits are worth the effort. I wish I knew a really good LLMD here in SouCal, but hopefully someone will come along here on LymeNet and recommend one.

I hate to say it, but probably a good indicator is whether they have gotten into serious trouble with their state medical board.

Dr. H. in California is thought to be good and fairly aggressive. I'd go to him if I was unhappy with my doctor or wanted another opinion. He seems to move frequently but, most recently, I heard he was in Malibu.
