Hi

I was bit by a tick while doing wildlife surveys 3 years ago. I developed the classic bulls eye rash, about 6-8 inches wide at it's largest. Friends all said it was lyme, so I went to the student health center - nurse said it was probably just an allergic reaction. I have been bit by probably close to 100 ticks in my life, never got a rash like this one. Anyway, I believed her at the time.
Now, 3 years later, I have been fatigued, chills, cold all the time, tingly hands for about 2 months. CBC and thyroid test came up normal. I went back 10 days later and told the doctor about the bull's eye from 3 years ago, he said given the history and symptoms, we don't even need to test - strong case that it is lyme. So, I was prescribed doxy 300mg a day for 2 weeks. He said it will work, and that its unlikely to have any lasting problems. All the info on the web is so different. Looking for the possibility to see a doctor that specializes in Lyme, especially if doxy doesn't help. BTW - I have no health insurance!

Thanks!!
