Hi,

I was diagnosed with CFIDS last April, but my Western Blot test shows some indications of lyme (according to some who have advised me on another board). The test itself is "negative" but I have some +++'s and IND's listed on some significant bands. I'd very much like to have more help from an LLMD within a reasonable driving distance to the cities I listed above.

I have many crossover symptoms that very likely could be lyme. We have tons of deer ticks in our area as well as in the Bay Area where I lived previously for almost 10 years.

Please help me to locate a good LLMD in my area!! Thank you! ( :

All the best,
Erica

erica, since i don't live in california; i'm confused where these cities are located; what direction in calif. some of our cities are now divided by area:

n. CALIF., central, southern cal.

if you could help me more, please do; otherwise i'll just let the calif. posters help you.

and try this too ok!

Please go to SUPPORT GROUPS, left-hand side column by state.
CALL the nearest group leader for advise.
Do NOT email; many are too sick to reply; thanks!

People seeking doctors in certain states might be able to
get help from their state online information and support group. Over 1500
people belong to these state groups. Many of the groups are small
but quite a few have 20 or more people on them.

To find your state group, go to
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/statenamelyme

Type your state name and lyme as one word, e.g. newyorklyme

For SC, SD, ND and WY, put a hyphen between the statename
and lyme, e.g. northdakota-lyme

The groups are moderated so you have to apply, and we don't
allow doctor names, but once on the group, you can ask for doctors in a certain area and ask people to email you privately.

I am in Northern Californa on the Sierra Nevada mountains side where the bend is near the Nevada border.

The biggest cities closest to me are Auburn, Roseville, Sacramento, San Francisco and surrounding Bay Area. Also Reno, Nevada going in the other direction.

I never had a tick bite that I know of.

My Western Blot results were:

IGENEX - IGG - RESULT NEGATIVE
CDC/NYS - RESULT NEGATIVE

18 +
**39 IND
**41 +++

IGENEX - IGM - RESULT NEGATIVE
CDC/NYS RESULT NEGATIVE

18 +
30 +
**31 IND
**39 IND
**41 +
66 +
**83-93 IND

(all the rest of my numbers on both tests had - next to them)

Thank you so much for reviewing these results! My FFC doctor said I was negative, but someone with lyme told me to request copies of the test and see more what it says in detail. I really don't understand this test at all. Any information you can offer would be great!

All the best,
Erica
