Hi all! My mother just tested positive for Lyme Disease after being tested by Igenex. Unfortunately her regular doctor doesn't know anything about treating Lyme and I haven't been able to find any LLMDs where she lives. She lives in Portland Oregon (I don't live with her which makes this even more difficult). I suspect she's had the disease for a long time with possible co-infections because she has a lot of cognitive and psychological symptoms. The real problem is that her insurance doesn't cover her out of state. Does anyone know of some good doctors in or near Portland, preferably in state. I'm really worried about her getting the proper treatment. Thanks so much!

I live in Beaverton Oregon, suburb of Portland and there are no LLMD's in Oregon. I fly to California. Some people drive to Seattle. I pay cash for treatment at this point.
There are some ND's here but they cost money and insurance does not usually cover it.
Perhaps you will get some suggestions from the Oregon lyme group?
