How does a doctor get to be on that list? There is someone on there that is near to me, but I cannot find any other info about him. Is he on the list because someone recommended him? Or is he just volunteering to be on the list. How can you check out a doctor to see if they are legit?

One of the best ways is to call Support Groups in the area that the LLMD practices. They get lots of feedback from members. There's a link on the upper left side of this page. CALL, don't email.
I don't know how docs end up on the LDA list! I suppose that all ILADS members are automatically on. Magic??!!!
You can also post on 'Seeking a Doctor' by using the docs last initial and state.
