Nearest US states: i am willing to go to any NORTHERN USA states near the canadian borded. but first i would like to know of the two LLMDs in canada, depending on which is closer, that will decide where i go

i need closer because my mom just had her thyroid removed.... and by JUST i mean today. my dad WILL NOT drive me to USA. i could talk my mom into it... but she cant do anything for a few weeks to months. so i need to look at my options carefully

hi, im 13.

i live in Canada newmarket. i was very active in the deep woodlands of a public park not to far from where i live, from the age 7 - 12 i was visiting this forest DAILY. i remember i went VERY VERY far into it,

i live SOUTH of north bay. in canada south of north bay is the area where the most lyme disease cases come from.

after doing massive amounts of research i finally fit it together.... its lyme.

i have not tested pos for any blood tests... but that doesnt mean i dont have it!

i am going back to that forest tomorrow, and im going to look for ticks. if there are the tick types that carry lyme there, then this will almost confirm my theory

but i still need to find an LLMD near Newmarket quickly! i have been suffering for a year and a half, and im tired of it

EDIT: http://www.freeworldmaps.net/northamerica/north_america_political.gif

http://www.kingofthehilldragway.ca/images/map-north-bay.jpg

i live south of north bay, so using http://www.kingofthehilldragway.ca/images/map-north-bay.jpg and
http://www.freeworldmaps.net/northamerica/north_america_political.gif you should be able to figure out the closest states, but i really need some sleep.

thank you so much for your time and replys! i will think of getting the newbie package [Smile]

see you tomorrow!

joint pain, welcome to the board; glad you found us!

canada has 2 lyme literate mds, llmds, but MAJORITY of canadians come to usa to our LLMDS!!

what us state is nearing to where you live? we have many in the NE part of USA?

please show the closest state or 2 to you, and you can just ADD that info to your top post by EDITING IT.

to edit, click on paper/pencil icon to right of your name.

i'd suggest you edit topic showing CANADA, and the 2 US states you'd go to for help...then you have their attention for our members.

in text part, show the 2 us states at the top before your intro ok!!

make sure you go to lower left hand side and click box for ALL REPLIES BE SENT TO YOU; click edit send; done!

pain, you're welcome.

i have no more info than what i sent you yesterday.

have you gone to SUPPORT GROUPS, LEFT SIDE, CANADA, and contact them .... see who is closest, etc. since you don't have money to travel, etc.

if you got my newbie package, PRINT OUT "FINANCIAL BURDENS" compiled by melanie reber; very helpful! [Wink]

By going into the woods you run the risk of being bit again!! Not every tick carries the same bacteria.

you could get ADDITIONAL coinfections besides the Lyme itself!

Even if you find more ticks, they will not necessarily carry Lyme.

I hope Betty got you some names of doctors in those states??

jointpain, you seem quite precocious! College educated adults often have trouble understanding things you seem to have figured out very quickly.

That's good news, jp!!

I don't know about the marks or veins.

Why don't you pose that medical question in Medical, where more people are and can help you better than over here.

NOt many people frequent the SEeking a Dr section.

ok, thank you very much!!!

yeah i was gonna put my foot down today, because the pain in my legs is getting a lot worse, aswell with every other joint pain.

so the PEDIATRICIAN suggested lyme BEFORE I DID (was planning to)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA i was insulted [Wink] lol so tomorrow my mom is going to get the Antibiotics. well see how i do [Big Grin]

to be honest, i never thought a "normal" doctor would suggest Lyme before me.... you should have seen my face. lol i didnt, but i bet it was funny

anyway, thank you very much! [Smile]
