Does anyone know of a good LLMD in the North

Texas area? I also spend quite a bit of time in

Houston if anyone knows of an especially good one

there. Thanks very much for any help.

welcome; glad you found us!

please read the top 4 posts that have ! to left of topic title; we need certain things from you in order for us to help you ok! [Smile]

WELCOME, would you like a FREE copy of my newbie package of 120 pages info galore sent by LYMENET'S PRIVATE MESSAGE system here; includes TREEPATROL'S LINK of his archive of over 1000 links of good lyme info?

I've been completely REORGANIZING it; NOT DONE YET; but up to page 60 since I have now created a TABLE OF CONTENTS WITHOUT PAGE NUMBERS since it changes DAILY! The part NOT organized yet is the last 30 pages of SSDI, ss disability insurance benefits tips/forms!

also, please go to TREEPATROL'S NEWBIE INFO IN MEDICAL; at top being features; mark it as a favorite! over 1000 links of good lyme info. He/I have some duplicates.

most of mine is very DETAILED info on certain things: SSDI/ss diability insurance benefits; FINANCIAL BURDENS; about IGENEX blood testing, symptoms lists for the basic types, NOIR/no infrared SUNGLASSES, etc. and how to use this board!

If you would like my newbie package, please send me a PRIVATE MESSAGE. PMs are the 2 people standing together icon to right of your name. Just ask me to send you lyme package, and I'll get it to you promptly. Thank you!

When you post or reply, please break up your solid, continuous block text [Smile]

welcome to the board! many of us have neuro lyme where we can NOT read long solid block text and be able to comprehend and read it as is.

please edit your post by CLICKING PAPER/PENCIL ICON to right of your name. that opens up BOTH subject line and body text.

now please break up your WORDY SENTENCES into one sentence paragraphs. Then hit ENTER KEY ``THREE`` after each paragraph; we need that space for comprehension.

if you are NOT a wordy person, you can do 2 or 3 total ok. do this for your entire post.

then go to left hand corner and mark box to receive ALL REPLIES, and click EDIT SEND

we thank you for helping us; [Wink] otherwise, we will SOB, SCROLL ON BY, since we can't read to help you. If I see posts like this, I SOB them; to hard on me. I'm also in the early stages of losing my eyesight from diabetes retinopathy. [Frown]

There are no "especially good ones" in TX, unfortunately. Most patients travel to La or MO.

I would obviously prefer one near Dallas, but do
you know of any that are close to the eastern half of Texas?

Many thanks to anyone that does, as I suspect

that I may have been infected for quite some time.

To make a long story as short as possible, I was

bitten by several ticks in Sam Houston National

Forest 3-4 years ago.

I did not get the rash, but had a mild grade

fever shortly thereafter with no explanation for

it. I was very healthy prior to this time.

A few weeks later, I had unexplained severe

swelling in my right knee which didn't subside

for several months, and although I visited

several doctors and had just about every test in

the book, no one seemed to have an answer for it.

Since that time I have had quite a few problems

including: severe brain fog/concentration

problems, a skin problem on my palm which doesn't

seem to ever completely heal, regular severe

light headedness, having no mental energy at all,

both thumbs and big toes are regularly very sore,

an overall toxic feeling, the inability to drink

alcohol without a horrible hangover, and just a

general feeling of not being well. I

have had two total physicals in the past 3 years,

and my primary care physician just tells me I'm

healthy and doesn't seem to think that Lyme is

likely; especially here in Texas. Also, I had the

Western Blot (Lab Corp) and had a positive on

only the IGG 41 and the IGM 23 bands. I've been

getting worse lately, and am ready to find some

help somewhere. Thanks again for any help.

I use Dr. W in Denton. He is an Gyn so if you are not a women then he won't work for you. He hasn't been practicing as long but he is a great place to start. He follows Dr. B guidelines so I really feel safe in his care. I have made great progress with him. He takes insurance as well so at least you could try the waters a bit. Good luck.

I am new to the site..just registered today. My story spans 2 years and is very detailed...sounds like what many of you have experience in many respects. I am glad to have found this site!

I just started treatment w/ Dr. W in Denton for my Lyme. Any feedback on him?

I need to get my 9 year old tested. I need a good Dr. in the metroplex who sees children for Lyme. Any help you can provide would be appreciated. If not in the metroplex, anyone know a good one for children further away?

Thank you!!!

DR W is considered the best in TX as of this date. Above info is very outdated.

The best children's dr is in CT. He is worth the trip.

You could also consider a dr in Louisiana.

Did you begin your own thread here? I'll have to look .. to see if you've been helped. My list is not the best.
