Is it possible that all of these years of vague joint pain in my daughter's knees, which now is pain in many many joints but also her muscles, could be Lyme disease? It's been changing for the last 9 months or more. She is 18.
She also is super sensitive to the touch when any muscles are hurting, which is every single day. Just touching her back or arm or leg can make her flinch. Vibrations in the room can bother her. The intensity of pain changes. The location of pain changes, but she's never without pain, for the past nine months.
The initial joint pain in knees has been around for years, off and on. We would just move on, thinking she was growing. Maybe she was!
I don't recall a flu, but only a few days on the couch with neck pain about 8 years ago. It was serious neck pain, but it had no rash, and no fever that I recall.
She also had a tick feasting on her for several days before we saw it, but we removed it and then there was no rash and no flu and we thought it was a nothing.
I have no idea how old she was when that happened. Could kick myself.
She is not having fevers. She is not having flu like symptoms over and over.
She has serious fatigue and can't get through the day without a nap.
We've been to numerous doctors. No one has suggested lyme.
I'm pretty sure we just had a worthless Western Blot test that will not be sent to the recommended lab.
Any comments would be helpful. A LLMD in my area would also be appreciated.
