Hi all,

We are currently seeing Dr. R in Manhattan but are considering consulting with Dr. Zhang to go at this at all angles. Dr. R is fine with this.

I would love to hear if you have had success with Zhang, either using his protocol alone or using it in conjunction with abx.

We just read his book and it sounds very promising, but almost too good to be true! He says babesia can be cured on his herbal protocol after 40 to 80 days. Is this possible?!

I would love to hear about your experience with him and whether his treatment protocol was successful! What diseases did he treat for you and how long did it take to get well?

Thanks,

tickbattler

This would be a perfect question for the Medical Forum here....there's only a handful of us that frequent this Forum.

Generally, doctors full names are not used here so as to offer them some degree of protection.

It's tricky, though, with those who have written books.

Many LLMDs use Dr. Z's advice to supplement and I know of a few who have done very well with just the supplements.

And a note here about the FDA. Supplements cannot make any medical claims. There are forces trying to take away our right to make decisions to use such products. So, it's very fine line.

that is why, always, if someone asks about this or that, I'm quick on the draw with the PubMed abstracts to back up supplements beyond a particular LL author's suggestion. And I always use the term "supplement."

As nutrition - concentrated food - supplements can effect change either alone, or to potentiate the action - or guard against side effects - of abx.

If you not yet read his book, it offers citations going way back. He certainly backs up his research.

I think Hepapro's allicin is the strongest on the market - and I've tried all the cheaper brands. The quality is top-notch.

I can't say how successful it's been because I've not had the funds to really stick to it. But I attended a lecture of his years ago and patients had flown in from many states. Most were his hepatitis patients and they were doing exceedingly well.

the one other lyme patient who attended was 90% back and trying to figure out the key for the other 10%.

In addition to his book, though, I'd also read Buhner's. Then see what you think. Both are worth it.

Although I haven't seen Dr. Z, I am seeing one of the LLMD's that endorses and is mentioned with the book.

This LLMD that I see started me out full force on Dr. Zhang AND abx for the first year.

I did progress very well and went from being carried by my husband and wheel chair, to walker, to cane to walking on my own.

When you are on so many different things, it's really hard to say if it was all the Z herbs or all the abx's....so I just don't know.

I have taken a backwards slide a bit and talk of going IV at this point, but I started out with what they thought was a stroke by the time of my diangosis, so perhaps less severe cases would respond better to some of these alternatives.

I do know that my family had a hard time with me being on the Allicin because it really does send an odor out of your pours and I could be upstairs in bed (I was bedridden at that time) and they could walk in from downstairs and STILL smell it.

I did that for seven full months and now just the smell of garlic bothers me, but I'm sure that will fade in time.

I do know some that have had very good results with this and others that different, but the same holds true on different antibiotics.

You won't know until you try.

I do know that if you buy this doctors herbs, he will answer any questions you want by email and will write lengthy recommendations, even for patientst that haven't seen him one on one.

Good luck to you.

Cathy
