I'm looking for a LLMD in Manhattan (preferably Upper East or West side, if I can be that specific). And hopefully one that can see me soon.
Back in Oct '07 I sent a blood sample to Igenex. I tested positive or indeterminate on several bands for lyme and babesiosis.
Then in late Nov '07 I found a deer tick attached to me (first time I've ever even seen a deer tick). I sent the tick in to Igenex and it tested positive for lyme (though I did not get the "bullseye" rash).
I spend a lot of time in the hiking in the Berkshires of MA. 20 years ago I went through all the classic symptoms of lyme but back then, lyme was not well known and the dr. decided it was "Chronic Fatigue Syndrome" and I'd just have to live with the episodic symptoms.
Recently a friend, and my brother came down with lyme and that made me wonder if I had lyme way back in '87. That prompted me to get a test. It was just a twist of irony that I got bit soon after.
I have done a lot of research into lyme, so I'm anxious to get theis looked into.
Thank you
James
