I was diagnosed with Lyme last July and was on 21 days of Dioxicylin. The high fever and shooting pain headache went away after about a week into the therapy. My initial blood work didn't show that I had Lyme - the ER doctors figured it was and decided to treat me for it. I had bloodwork done 30-days after and then it showed that I did have lyme. That was after I was through with the antibiotics. Now, almost a year later I am riddled with joint stiffness and pain. If I sit to long I have trouble getting up. I have trouble rolloing over in bed in the morning and am extremely tired and sore when I wake up - especially my feet. My feet and ankles are sowlen a little. I can't kneel down very well without pain. Worse of all is that my eyesight has deminished from reading without glasses to the point I've gone through two magnifactions on reading glasses in 6-months. So, based on all that what is your suggestion. Is there a chance I don't have it bad and could get rid of what's left of the lyme with another round of antibiotics? By the way I had a blood test about 5-months ago that showed I didn't have it. Please respond.

I can't help you find a doc, but I wanted to sympathize with you.

We're in the process of finding out if my husband and/or I have Lyme. If we do have it, we got it while we were living in Westboro between 2000 and 2004. Our dog got both Lyme and Ehrlichia there, too. We live in Texas now.

Good luck finding a doc. I imagine there are more of them in your part of the world than there are in mine.
