Specifically seeking LLMD in Schuylkill, Berks, or Lehigh counties.

Hi, I'm Abbey and I have repeatedly visited with my family doctor due to extreme fatigue and joint pain.

It took many months, but she has recently tested me for lyme. This primary lyme test was positive.

I was put on doxycycline and told to wait for the results of the confirming test. These came back borderline.

In the meantime, I have done some research and realized that I have been dealing with lyme for years and I am now exhibiting neurological symptoms.

My doctor says I must wait 2 to 4 weeks to be retested. I requested an earlier appointment to review my findings and present my large list of lyme associated symptoms, but she refused to see me until I was retested.

This struck me as odd as I have been reading alot about lyme illiterate doctors. I am worried my lyme may progress further (like to bells palsy or something else equally scary).

I would like to know if there is a LLMD in my area incase I continue to have problems with her. I am tired of living with lyme and the brain fog and blackouts are terrifying! Help please!

Hi Abbey...

I'm about an hour SE of you....

Sorry but you won't find and LLMD anywhere close to Schukill County...

You'll have to travel to the Philly or into NJ for a Lyme Friendly Doc...

PM me for my recommendation on who helped me this past year after my hell started in July of '07....
