I've been going to a LLMD in NJ for about a year and a half and feel it would be beneficial for me to make a switch. A few different reasons I suppose though nothing glaring and I do like my current LLMD. I just feel that I need a more comprehensive and analytical overview of my situation and that others may be better suited to provide this for me.
I have an appt scheduled with Dr. H in NY in a couple weeks and before I fully commit to the trek up there as well as the financial obligations (which are more than I currently pay though still manageable), I wanted to check on some comments and perspectives from others in the NJ area on various LLMDs in-state or in NY city/just into PA.
From what I've been able to gather, Dr. H is one of the top LLMDs and everything I've seen from his patients indicates that he and his PAs are quite knowledgeable (just that his office staff can be difficult to reach). I'm basically interested in if others feel any local doctors in-state offer the same knowledge base and ability to diagnose/treat as Dr. H (or I guess how they feel in general about their LLMDs and their overall competence/knowledge/limitations if they have no basis for comparison to Dr. H).
Don't know if this is precisely the right forum for this topic, but I assume so. If there is a support group(s) that I can email for this info, that's fine for me and I'd like that contact information. Thanks.
