To all of you who tirelessly seek LLMD's for friends who seem to have Lyme symptoms...
Encourage those friends to log on to LymeNet themselves, get involved and do some reading.
We will be more than happy to supply them with names of LLMD's but it really would be best if they do the asking. This way they can discuss symptoms, testing etc. etc. etc. etc. They can also find out if their symptoms 'fit' Lyme.
There are exceptions to this, obviously, but in general, it would be to their benefit to refer them to this site.
I've given LLMD lists to many, many people who did nothing with the list. They need to convince themselves first that there's a possibility of Lyme! Just hearing it from a friend is often not enough for them to take action.
...just a thought. Marian

you sent me a list of LLMDS in New Jersey about a month ago, I have been on doxcyline now for a few weeks, but I am in Brooklyn now and I would prefer to be seeing a doctor in NYC. Could you send me a list of those. I can't figure out any other way to post on here, or reply to you directly, other than to reply to a group of posts that have already been started. I really need your help.
thank you so much, Katie

Mathew,
You must start a post of your own. People won't think to check here... Click on 'Post New Topic'. Put 'Need NJ doctor' in the subject line.

Hi,
You must post a new topic with this information. Nobody will think to check here. Click on Post New Topic above.
Please post your request in a New Topic in the Seeking a Doctor forum. Our members who help with LLMD referrals look for "new" requests and don't go back to look a older Topics that have already been answered.
Also, indicate the cities in the vicinity of your area rather than zip code as their lists are based on LLMD's near cities within a state.
I'm now "Closing" this Topic so that users requesting LLMD referrals will not be able to post the request in this Topic.
Thanks and take care,
