Hi, I was bitten by a tick in June and developed symptoms approximately three weeks later. My ND treated me with 100 mg Doxy twice a day for two weeks. About five weeks later the symptoms returned. I am on Doxy again and am seeing my ND tomorrow. I'd like to find a LLMD in the Tulsa area if possible.
In my reading, I have found that a tick is usually engorged and must be on the body at least 36 hours for transmission of Lyme. Is this necessarily true? My tick was on for less than 24 hours and was not engorged. Could my symptoms be coincidental and not tick related at all?
Thank you for your help!
