My LLND may be referring me to Dr. H in CA if I don't start getting some results soon. Am going to be trying some new/different orals for a couple of months, then make a decision.
This would involve a plane ride, etc. $$
Any feedback? Is he aggressive, conservative...? Any input is appreciated. TS

He's aggressive but also respects you if you choose not to take something....
For example, my body metabolizes the heck out of the drugs so I need a higher dose than normal to actually do something....so he recognized this and treats me accordingly....
He's also VERY knowledgeable about alternatives that can accompany RX's and help clear the infections...
I really like this about him because he is very well rounded....aware of the more natural way too...which I am more attracted to, but know I also have to do this gnarly RX's treatment.....
He's great about co-infections too! knows what to look for and how to treat....
And most of all he listens and cares....!!!
good luck to you!
much love~ Fawne

I agree with what everyone else has said so far. Dr. H is the only LLMD I've seen, but would recommend him especially if you've reached a plateau with another LLMD.
Dr. H tests and treats a lot of problems that us lymies tend to have. He may uncover other issues you have that are hindering your improvement with just treating the Lyme.
As for travel, you would obviously have to see him in person for your first visit. But Dr.H does phone appointments for his patients out of the area. You would probably have to travel to see him occassionally.

RE: Plane ride. You might look into Angel Flight.
He also is in ____ a couple of days out of the month or one of the doctor's who is part of the team.
Webmaster Note: the city in with a doctor practices in should not be posted. Therefore, it was removed from this post.

I see him too and he's great. His PA is also good, if you can't get into him (practice is bursting at the seams, not kidding).
He is very intuitive and very aggressive if you want to be. Also treats clinically, does NOT rely on test results.

I agree w/everyone else. I used to see another well known LLMD in SF, but switched to Dr. H after I felt I wasn't making enough headway after 1.5 years w/the first Dr.
It's made a huge difference for me. He's much more open minded and aggressive in his treatment, and just a really nice person besides.
