I found a deer tick on my son 10 days ago. I know it was attached for more than 24 hours but it didn't appear to have been feeding yet. I am concerned about lyme since we live in a high risk area. Do you know when symptoms start showing up and a list of good doctors around my area? thank you all very much.

It can take several weeks for symptoms to show up. Did you save the tick? If so, you can have it tested. Otherwise, if you're really concerned, have your son tested (preferably through Igenex).

Dr. Burrascano's most recent "Diagnostic Hints and Treatment Guidelines for Lyme and Other Tick Borne Illnesses" @ http://www.ilads.org/burrascano_0905.html suggests that you discuss with your doctor continuing treatment until you are symptom free for 2 months.
