Can anyone send me the name of a family doctor who understands and treats Lyme in or near York Pa. I went to mine and she had the blood test done and since it came back negative now she wants tests for what seems like a multitude of other things.but I remember having the rash then a flu-like illness in August 06. At the time I didn't even think of Lyme, we were buying a house ,redoing it and moving into it all within 3 weeks around having this flu. Then this year I started having roaming joint pain that is just completely disabling. That's when I started looking on line for answers, found sites about the symptoms of lyme and voila...it fits to a T..but now my doc won't listen. I have so many of the symptoms but she believes that since the titer test was negative it has to be something else. I think I've been infected for 2 years so I need treatment asap to get rid of it. I'd go almost anywhere for a good doctor. I live in York Pa and have family home in New England(Northampton Ma to be exact), very willing to drive a couple hours for someone who understands and is willing to treat for as long as it takes to be rid of it..not just sporadically. Help Please!!!!

Hi Purrkat,
I'm sure Marian and TF sent you good names...The closest is Baltimore......Dr. L is quite good and treats many in our group. She was to come speak to our group in Nov, but we have to move that until Jan or Feb.

Please come visit our group any 3rd Sunday of the month!!! www.yorkpalyme.org
