Hello, I tested positive for Babesia microti about two months ago (been sick for just about a year now). I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome before that and now also Epstein Barr Virus reactivation. The Babesia diagnosis really scares me, especially since I've been sick for so long now. The doctor who diagnosed me recommended treatment with herbal remedies (all at about $500/month for a course of 9 months). I have spent so much money out of pocket to reach the point of getting a diagnosis, at this point, I don't want to try something herbal that might not work (and is that expensive). It was artemisinin, cumanda, samento, and burbur. I still have not found a doctor for a second opinion on treatment, but I want a treatment plan ASAP!! I am really nervous and scared about this. Does anyone have experience with having Babesiosis and actually had successful treatment?? Please let me know!
I've posted before, but still have not found a doctor. I have left 3 messages with Dr. P's office and am on a waiting list for Dr. W. My primary care is trying to get me into a Dr. Donta in Boston, also.
Please let me know if anyone can help. Thanks! Kris

I would try to go see Dr. P.
It is weird that you are not able to get through. They are closed on Fridays, so you wont get anyone then.
Try again a few times. He is worth it.
