I have been searching for a doctor. I have received lots of good recommendations through Betty G and others on this board, which I appreciate more than you know. The problem I'm having is convincing my family about the qualifications of a doctor (the recommendation for whom I got from the internet). If I do not find a doctor that they approve of, I may not have the support I need to get treatment. I also need to have my 3-year-old tested for congenital lyme, which is also causing concern for my family (why put her through that when she seems fine).

Can anyone give me the name of an LLMD for me and a LL pediatrician for my daughter in one of the above states that will accept insurance and has the explicit support of the program at Columbia University (which my family approves of) or some other verifiable credential.

Please understand that I do not doubt that all of the doctors about whom I have received information are qualified to treat and diagnose this. It just would be a whole lot easier for my family to accept this if the doctor accepts insurance, etc.

Thanks so much.
Jenny
