I was diagnose with Lyme about 2 months ago. The doctor said that my blood test was slightly positive for Lyme but not sure. she went and treat me anyway with 3 weeks of Amoxicillin. After 3 weeks of amoxicillin, the doctor would not prescribe anymore antibiotic even when i complaint that my symptom are getting worse than before, she said 3 weeks of amoxicillin is already good enough to treat Lyme, and would not prescribe anymore antibiotic. As for the past 2-3 days my symptoms are getting worst, all day, i get burning, pain all over my body, back pain is killing me most of the time, throat tight, chronic pain in finger, toes, my neck can't bend down and also pain under both armpits. I read on the net, that said, most infectious disease doctors do not know much about Lyme. I live in springfield VA near Washington DC, and couldn't find any Lyme Specialist in the area, if anyone know, please help.

PM sent with corrected address and phone # of Dr. G who is now in Belle Haven, VA on the Eastern Shore. He's listed on the Lyme Disease Association Doctor Referral page as being in Parksley, VA.
