hello

we left FL in search of treatment - my wifes lyme is as advanced as they come and of the 2 highly qualified and very well known LLMDs we have seen in our travels her case is one of the worst in there practice currently.

we started in CT w/ doc P. but he felt she was in need of IV (which her doesnt do) - so we just had our first apt w/ DR J in SC which was awesome

we have moved to the area to be near the doc for treatment -

we have family in MA and wondered if there was a doc perhaps in Rhode island that might be as qualified as Dr J (in SC) to treat a very severe case w/ IV

we feel very good about DR J and in my wife (shes the Lymie) i have seen the first glimmer of hope in a long time since seeing him -

but we are in a tug of war contest with family wanting so badly for us to be near them so they can help and OUR wanting to be treated by DR J

some family members have mentioned that Rhode island having laws protecting lyme docs that we might be better off getting treatment there.
we (my wife and i) do not agree but want to make sure our decision is the right one.

do you have any advise?

Rhode Island doesn't have much to offer, unfortuntely. Can you see someone in CT or NY?
