My son sees JF in his office, we travel about 2 hrs one way to office visits. Dr H. has himself, a FNP and a PA seeing Lyme patients in his office. I would say my sons treatment was moderately agressive with prescription meds, and alternative treatments are also advised but not necessarily demanded. The office does sell alternative products and probiotics in the office, but the prices are very similar to online sources.
On a per hour basis, JF may be the least expensive health care provider that my son has ever been treated by. I pay out of pocket for Dr. H's office visits, but my insurance covered plenty of visits to providers that could do nothing to help my son, so it is money well spent.
There is a current thread in Medical with many opinions on the office and the staff. As of this morning the appt line at the office indicates that the office is not accepting new patients at this time, so hopefully you have a previously scheduled appt.

Thanks for the response!I am so glad your son is improving with him.
I don't have an appointment, but am on the waiting list. I have one at the end of the month with Dr. Liegner, but would wait for Dr. Horowitz. It's so hard to figure out who to go to, especially when you have to fly, etc.
Dr. H seems reasonable feewise, considering what others are charging and the results you are getting.
I have heard that he does a comprehensive approach to Lyme and looks at other body systems, hormones, heavy metals, etc. Have you found this to be true?
Do you know if he uses IV if necessary? Also, how often do you have to go for follow ups? I will have a doctor working with me here who can prescribe and oversee treatment while consulting with him.
Thanks for any info you can provide!! Lisa
