schelyne,

we have a problem here, and i'm going to address this to you/others as best as i can with what little tact i have at this time of night.

i answered your 1st post requesting a llmd in your area promptly.

came back here tonight and found 17 straight posts where you have brought older posts ... all requesting info on llmd!

[/QB]sorry, but we do NOT HAVE THAT MUCH TIME to repeat our same things over and over! this is a no no here![qb]

so i have answered ONE post of yours; NO MORE on same area!

why did you post so many? i'm trying to understand, and can not. would you enlighten me and others.

Sorry, I did reply to Lou to explain as best I could. I am truely apologetic. After spending so many years going to quacks and crazies and do- nothings, I refuse to see a doctor with whom I have no 1st hand positive references for.

In my quest for llmd's on this site, I have received several lists of dr's matching the ones I found on the search websites myself. I originally thought posting here I was going to get some referrals based on personal experience too.

So far, of the ones I have received, they are not taking new patients, have a 6 month waiting list (and I will be dead by then), or I have been referred against them by members from the site.

I was hoping someone could give me a personal reference from a dr they had been to and liked and would recommend. I will not see anyone without a personal positive testimony. Sorry, I am a real stickler on that one as I have wasted too much time already.

In searching the entire Washington, DC, Baltimore, MD and York, PA areas, I have not received one referral with a personal recommendation. I know in hind-sight I was expecting more than I should have.

I am scared with all of the information I have been bombarded with. I am afraid to waste any more time. I am not sure fighting this disease is even worth it at this point. Seems like it might be better just to live with it as I have been doing unknowingly since 12.

I do not know any better...I do not know what it feels like to be well...so it seems insane to go to doctors that cannot treat it properly, do not believe in it, waste your time, put you on meds that make you sicker, and cannot go through insurance causing more pain and suffering with debt and bankruptcy to look forward to and still no guarantee you will ever get well or feel better???!!!!

Not sure I am on the right track here, but I am too scared and thought if I could just see an llmd who someonsesaid was good or great or they liked or who helped them or a family member, I could start with a consultation that would answer some of my questions and maybe set me at ease.

I hope someone can understand where I am coming from.

I did not mean to cause trouble, or offend anyone. I am just scared to death about doing the wrong thing.

So sorry for all the trouble!!!!!!!!!!

going off the deep end,

--------------------
Michele:)

michele,

thank you for your words from your heart. now what you did makes sense to me. [Smile] [group hug] [kiss]

it's best to be honest like you were above, that you wanted PERSONAL EXPERIENCE ONLY with these llmds before investing $$$$ that you do not have.

but as a person who volunteers daily on the board when i saw a pattern that your name showed up 17 times REPEATEDLY, i'd be wasting alot of valuable time and energy to answer EACH OF YOUR POSTS, which frankly, i don't have. [Smile]

so that's why i posted about your situation. were you of dire need as you have stated above that; yes, YOU ARE DIRE!

fyi, there are healthy TROLL TROUBLEMAKERS that come here daily to harass us using any personal info they can get: home emails, home phone nos., etc. you are NOT A TROLL!

some have pretended to be medical drs. giving ADVISE for almost 1 month until they were caught red-handed.

this is what we go thru daily; so i'm extra cautious since i spend my quality of living hours here to help others.

many of us have nationwide llmd info; that is what we have sent to you. NO, we don't go to these drs. in YOUR area of USA. so we give you the best, quality info that is RELAYED ONTO US.

now, may i suggest a win-win for both of us; go to the 1 post your started or ARE you wanting more than a neurologist too? llmd too?

if it's llmd too; start another NEW POST

copy your wonderfully written post above mine to it and paste it in there for text.

subject:

need PERSONAL experiences on drs. and show the LAST INITIAL OF LLMD NAME of each you want for that specific state, MD and Penn is below.

if it's several states, put the rest in the 1st 2 paragraphs above your explanation to me ok!

then we can narrow it down, and those patients can reply to you by private message.

then go to bottom left hand corner to mark box to receive all replies to your newest request, click send, and i hope you get MANY of them.

if not, use the yahoo link i gave you in my welcome letter to you. there are many penn and maryland members here. hope they can assist you ok.

ALSO, DO YOU HAVE SPECIFIC INSURANCE COMPANY, put that in your new post above in a separate paragraph so it stands out to those reading it.

sorry that we got off to a rocky start; i understand now; earlier i didn't! PEACE !! [group hug]

this is water over the bridge now.

when i see your new post above for what you want, i will delete this entire thread post ok!

win/win [Smile] [group hug] [kiss] bettyg

Michele,

Sorry that you are so frustrated with looking for an LLMD. Those of us who have been here awhile can understand how you are feeling.

I do not give personal recommendations to anyone unless I am asked. I did not receive a reply from you, so I did not know that is what you were looking for.

I have sent you another private message. Hope that will clear things up.

Sometimes it's helpful to look for people from your area here on this board and PMing them to ask which dr they see.

I know personal experiences are best .. I always recommend that. But it's hard to get others to come to Seeking to help out.

There are about 5 people who help out here in Seeking. We are from different areas of the US and don't have the personal experience you might need.

For example, my dr in Missouri won't help you in PA, unless you're willing to travel.

good luck! [Smile]

Join a support group for "personal experience" information.

Go see a LLMD who can take you now - to get into treatment. Any ILADS trained LLMD will treat responsibly.

Once you are in treatment, you can continue your "search" and get on a waiting list (maybe two) and if you can fill in at a moments notice for a cancellation - tell them.

Remember people are pretty tight-lipped about their LLMD because they don't really know who YOU are.

People don't want to draw unwanted attention to their doctor from troublemakers. NOT that you are a troublemaker - but bad people go fishing on this website and intend harm on LLMDs.
