I suggest you look at "support groups" on the left side of this page and contact the ones nearest you.
Lyme support groups can tell you which doctors in your area are good and other important information.
I suggest you ask for a doctor who follows the Burrascano lyme treatment guidelines. Burrascano type docs are the ones who have gotten me and my friends well from this horrible disease.
When you call to make an appt with a doc, ask if he follows Burrascano. If not, I would look for another doc.
I am not one of the people with nationwide lists. Hopefully, one of them will come along shortly. However, a list of lyme docs in your state will not tell you who is good and who is not. You will still have to make inquiries to find out that information.
Also, did you notice the post near the top of "Seeking a Doctor" called "Short cut to finding LLMD [lyme literate MD] in almost any state"? That's another way of getting doctors' names.
Finally, you can send a private message to "deerock" who also posted for a lyme doc in Boston and ask her to pass on the list of names to you. To send a private message to her, bring up her post on the screen and click on the 2 people standing next to an envelope icon that is across from her name. Then, send her your private message requesting the names.
Don't just jump in and go to any doc. Find a good doc. Otherwise, you will just be starting all over again doing your homework after a very frustrating experience with the doc you just happened to pick. All lyme docs are not the same. Not every one is top notch. This site will give you the names of all lyme friendly doctors, meaning those who are willing to try to help you.
Do you know about the lyme disease controversy? A Boston TV station did a good program on this a few months ago. Here is the link to it: http://www.kettmann.com/Lyme
When you get to the site, select the link to view the show. The show was taped by a girl on LymeNet and she put it on-line for all of us to be able to view it. You will learn a lot about the medical controversy surrounding lyme disease and why it is so hard to find a doctor who knows how to cure a person of lyme disease.
Hope this helps you.
