I was just diagnosed with Lyme disease (you can see the topic where I asked for help interpereting my test results here ). I live in Hamilton, ON, Canada and I understand that the chances of finding a good LLMD close to me are very slim. I am willing to travel to United States to get treated.
Could you please recommend a good LLMD doctor in NY state (if he is really good, I will travel to NY City as well) / Michigan / may be Ohio and Pennsylvania? The closest US city to me will be Buffalo, NY.
My symptoms are non-standard even by Lyme definition - I am very sensitive to a lot of foods and chemicals, I have histamine / amine intolerance, many unexplained allergic reactions, many food intolerances (wheat/gluten, corn, dairy, soy), digestive issues. And I would like to find a really good LLMD because of so many different multi-system problems that I have.
Thank you very much,
Kive.

My now famous lyme doc says digestive issues in a lymie point to the lyme coinfection bartonella. So, you most likely have lyme and bartonella. Then, since most lymies have babesiosis, you probably have that also. (Many of us have those 3. I had them.)
Many, many lymies have the food intolerances you name and have to eat gluten-free.
Once you are considering one or two docs, you can post their first initial of their last name and their state here and see what others have to say about them.
