I have been with LymeNet for a little bit, and wanted to reach an audience that is already receiving treatment. I hope it is okay to post this under Medical.
I have been under the care of an LLMD for treatment. We refinanced our house and took a small amount of money out (not realizing how much it actually costs for treatment). Treatment and needed supplements have been very expensive, and we are not wealthy. I am thankful that insurance covers medication.
My husband stated that when the small amount of money we took out runs out, he is going to need to get a second job as I cannot work or drive right now.
If anybody on this board sees a good LLMD in Virginia that takes Anthem insurance, please PM me. It would hurt inside to see my husband have to work 2 jobs.
I know that I am asking the impossible, but I have seen it happen on this board before.
Thank you.

Hey MorningSong,
Unfortunately I am not able to help you out with finding a new doctor. I don't know, I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. Lyme treatment is so financially devastating. It is unreal. Can't work more because your sick but need to work more to continue paying for treatment. My heart is heavy and i've done some sweating (along with some crying) about finances today too.
I'll be praying for you MorningSong that God will continue to provide for you and your family. That He will guide you in your treatment plans and send you a new LLMD if that is His will. That He will bless you and your husband, draw you closer together and closer to Him during this difficult time. That He will continue the good work that He has started, and will touch and heal your body.
Take care my friend Posts: 5237 | From here | Registered: Nov 2007

I just need to express my concern instead of holding it in.
Originally this post was opened under the Medical Section because I am already seeing an LLMD and wanted to talk to others who are already receiving treatment but are seeing an LLMD that takes insurance (there are some that exist).
I really needed the help of others that were already in treatment. But yet it is difficult for me to understand why the Michael Jackson story remains under medical with its 25+ replies, yet mine was inappropriate and moved.
I mean no disrespect to the mods, but I do not believe this was right. The same actions should apply to all. Best regards.
