My best friend has tested positive for Lymes Disease twice. Her health is rapidly declining over the past 5 months. She went to her regular MD and she finally got an appointment after over a month wait yesterday with a Infectious Disease doctor in Springfield. At her appointment yesterday he told her that Lymes Disease was rare in this state and that he didn't think she had it. She was crushed and feeling as if there is no hope for her. I have told her not to give up the fight and that together we will find help. I am desperately trying to help her and locate an LLMD anywhere within driving distance to us. Any help would be appreciated.

I have received some doctor referrals through some of the various websites today of LLMD's that are within a 4 hour drive of Southwest Missouri however, is it typical that the wait time for these doctors are anywhere from 4-9 months?
