I am searching for a LLMD for my best friend. We live in Southwest Missouri a few miles from Branson but are willing to travel to any of the surrounding states such as AR, IL, KS, KY.
She has tested positive for Lymes twice. Her primary care doctor said that it appeared to be in the later stage but she has never had a patient with Lymes. However, the infectious disease doctor says Lymes is too rare here and doesn't think she has it.
Her quality of life is going downhill rapidly. The muscle burning and pain is making it almost impossible for her to walk or carry on with her job.
We have been given 3 names of LLMD's within driving distance. One passed away 3 weeks ago and the other 2 have from a 6-9 month wait.
I watch her will to fight this continually go down hill. Please can anyone help us?

I can't thank everyone enough for the emails.
She has re-contacted Dr. C. and now has an appointment for October (which is sooner than originally expected) and has also been placed on the waitlist.
Since we are close in proximity there is a good chance she will get in sooner.
I truly feel this website and everyone here is a Godsend!
