I recently posted the below but after doing research for a week, I could not find anyone who I thought was qualified near my house and am going back to Boston/North Shore where I am from to stay with family and get treatment. Any help finding a Dr. is much appreciated.

Jeremy

I started losing my vision in one eye while traveling. I was previously in India, then California and Las Vegas. I came back home to South Florida and got diagnosed with Lyme from my eye Doctor. I had no time to research a Lyme Dr. and within 24 hours I saw a general infectious disease guy and did a 3 week IV antibiotic treatment (rocephin). That ended 2 weeks ago and even though my eyesight is better (which could be because of my diet and blood thinners) other symptoms are worse, like knee and ankle pain, trouble breathing, headaches/dizziness, anxieties, trouble sleeping through the night (waking up with chills and/or rapid heartbeat) even though I am pretty fatigued, short term memory/concentration, and weight loss.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated as I am on the verge of hoping in my car and driving to Boston to stay with family and get treatment.

Thanks

Jeremy

sent PM.

Sounds like co-infections could be involved as well as lyme.

Please check your private messages for the LLMD list for your state and do join in the discussion

in our ``medical section'' for additional help, education and support. It's a great place to learn more about this illness.
