I am getting beyond frustrated, I went trough the list 3 times by now , none of the offices except 2 even returned phone calls.
And one appt I got is really far away and outrageously expensive(guess the reason is their office is better at returning calls - $$$$. - yeah 4 digit price per 1 appt).
I mean I know from experience many Dr offices are arrogant , hard to reach ,etc. But its way beyond even worst conventional Dr office (they at least polite enough to call you back )

Coltman, I am sure your are very frustrated and I don't mean to make excuses for doctor's offices not calling back but I am sure given that it is summertime and this is peak tick season that all the offices are overwhelmed with calls.
There are a small percentage of LLMD's doing the work that the entire medical community should be doing. Keep calling, even if it means doing so several times a day until you get thru. You have to focus on your health not the problems within the system and make sure you get an appointment some how.
Is there a near by state that I can provide you with an LLMD list for? Sorry for the problems you are having but just be persistent and some thing will give. And don't forget to ask to be put on the waiting list if you do get thru to any of these offices. Most of them keep one.
Good luck.

Hi, coltman, I agree with response from above, totally. I have encountered in some of these offices-they "like" to keep the recorder on....and the way I have dealt with this in the past is-- if I leave a message and they do NOT call me within 24 hours--I keep calling them about every other hour!! Yes, it is time consuming! I have hit "redial" and I am usually successful by the end of the day! I would call EVERY hour until I finally could speak to a human! However, Abxnomore, is absolutely correct this being the "peak season" for ticks. Keep calling, press redial every opportunity you have. Yes, I know they are busy but leaving on a "recorder" is NOT acceptable to ones that are suffering horribly in pain--they have a duty to keep their office lines "OPEN". If you do get an appointment you should also "share" with the dr. that no one ever called you so that the dr. knows they may have to hire more help, increase staff, not use impersonal voice mail, potentually losing new patients, etc...the dr. should hear these things in my opinion. The dr. may very well have "no idea" that these situations are occuring--just the way I feel.
This is only my OPINION and based on MY experiences, please do whatever feels right for YOU. Good luck, coltman.

In my area, the best doctors aren't taking new patients.
When you can get in with a good doctor, your appt is usually about 4 months away.
And, calling to get the appt is the way you describe. You rarely get a call back. I assume the offices are overwhelmed.
