It is with great sadness that I let you know that Kim lost her battle with Leukemia on the 23rd of May. I know many of you prayed for my niece.
She fought with courage until the very end, never asking why or complaining. Our family is comforted that Kim is with our Lord and she is not in any more pain, she was only diagnosed on May 15 of 2003, she was 33 years old.
I was able to spend 2 weeks at my sisters in San Marcos near San Diego, where Kim was in UCSD, that allowed me some wonderful sharing time with Kim, her sister Jani from Canada and my sister,Lynda. She had gone through the stem-cell transplant the end of February. A miracle in itself that she received a donor from the national list and it was a perfect match. Kim never developed Graft verses Host disease which is needed somewhat in the transplant process.
The church was full for the Memorial and Kim's children, Kimryn, almost 2 and Lonnie Jr., 5 will know of the sweet mother they had. She touched so many lives, and was such a encouragement to others. They will also know how much she loved the Lord.
One day while visiting Kim in the hospital, she told me, "Aunt Cindy, On the really bad days, I think of you and all you have been through". Little did she know on my bad days I would think of her, and all she was going through. This past year we were able to comisserate, about non-understanding nurses, our central lines, hospital food and quite a few other ordeals. We even laughed at our phone calls from hospital bed to hospital bed.
I wish you all could have had a chance to meet her, Your lives would have been enriched because of her.
Thank you again for your prayers and please continue to pray for our family as we go through our time of grief.
God Bless You Cindy ><>

Thank You all for your continued prayers and comforting words, I just miss her so much.
The day after we got home from San Marcos for the services we got a call from a dear friend that her husband had fallen off their porch and passed away.
It really makes you realize how fragile life is and we must always tell our loved ones how much they mean to us while we have the chance.
Do you, my dear friends from Lymenet know how much you mean to me? Well, I'm telling you now, I may not always post it but I am continually praying for all of you. Newbies and friends I've met the three years since I've started posting.
You are the most courageous, caring, loving, and selfless group of people I have ever had the privledge of knowing. Thank you for being here for me.
Love Cindy ><>

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your beloved niece. I also have a niece named Kim . You won't believe this, but she's 33 also!
I know you shared a special bond with her, and that you will miss her terribly. It sounds like she was a wonderful person, and a great mother and wife.
