Yes! Texas is a hot bed for BRS!

I always hate to be left out. At least if I was bitten a doc would believe me. Because as we all know, ticks in Texas don't have Lyme.

But apparently BRS are under my bed right now!

If I was to get bitten by one would I have much to worry about? Considering the treatment is abx and I'm already on enough abx to float a battleship? Don't get me wrong if I got bitten I would run to the doctor crying like a baby, but I wonder if I, we, are safer than the average Joe?

A friend of a friend got bit by a brown recluse in Connecticut. So they've expanded somewhat more than the map says.

I seem to remember a story...maybe urban legend...that a Harvard or MIT student brought some of the critters back to school with them (unknowingly).

I'd worry like heck if I got bit by a brown recluse. I met a woman who was being treated for a bite, and she basically had an open wound on her foot.

these spiders are agressive too, they will chase after you. Most spiders will try to run and hide from you, not these guys they will run after you to protect their territory. The one in the photo is dark I have seen them lighter than that.

my friends motherinlaw was bit by one of these on her face and she lives in cleveland oh. so they have expanded more than the map.
