Well, I made it, but the trip down and back from St. Croix was horrible. I tried to save a dollar and scheduled us with 3 plane changes...oh, it is so worth it to fly as directly as possible.
When we finally made to St. Croix, our luggage didn't catch up to us until the next night.
Then all the preparations for wedding and procurring an entertainer had me in knots.
It rained very hard just before the wedding was to start thus, making it get dark faster than we wanted. But, as they say in the islands, "a wet knot is much harder to untie than a dry one." So, they consider that good luck.
By the time the wedding started, rain had gone by, but, dark clouds kept the light I really needed for my pictures at bay. Hoping when I get the Professional Photographer's pictures, that they'll be better than the ones I've seen so far.
All in all, everything worked out just fine. I just wish I'd had more energy while we were on the island. We got to see many old friends and got the news on others who have left the island. I think that the wedding was beautiful, but, you can't tell by the pictures I've posted. We stayed several days after everyone left, but, I was still too exausted to really enjoy myself. Next year we shall plan on going alone!
Seems as if no matter how much weight I've lost, I still look large in the pictures, even though I am now a size 6. I look more like a 12 from behind...LOL.
I knew the minute the "tween" behind me, on plane out of San Juan, sneezed, that I would more than likely get sick. And, sure enough, I've been sick as a dog about two days after we got back. Next time I fly, I plan on wearing a mask...I truly am.
In the eight and a half years that Chip and I have been together, I've never seen him all dressed up. He was so good looking in his Tux that when I saw him, I started crying.
Anyway, wanted to share our great moment with you guys.
It makes me cry to see this when I know what a rough time you have been through so much lately...and after all you are a strong and bright spirit, Rosis!!
Many bright blessings to you and your hubster..
I wish you the very best.
Blessings to your beautiful family as well!
Mo

So sorry you got sick on the way home, but better then and not on the way to St Croix. Hope you're feeling better now.
So happy for both of you!! As my brother-in-law told us at our wedding: May you always be as happy as you are today!!

Thank you so much, all, for the "well wishes". Sometimes it's hard to believe that we actually have other lives outside of LymeNet.
Well, at least, that's how I think about it sometimes. Sometimes, I feel as if my whole life is consumed with what I can learn that may someday get me well.

Hi Rosie - im have not been on the flashboard in quite awhile - a lyme sufferer for almost 10 years. ur wedding pictures cheered me up - i dont know if i will ever get to st. croix but thanks for sharing - i have been out on disability since april 9th - third time in 10 years. first time was for over two years and my husband left me so i had to get back to work sick or not. i have a daughter who is now 23 but was 15 at the time and it was tough and has been. i can relate to being in a beautiful place and not feeling well. i wasnt even diagnosed when i went on my honeymoon with my husband - we went to the caymans which was beautiful. but i was so sick i slept alot and like u had no energy. but good for u and i am happy for u. take care and keep ur chin up.

Thank you for sharing those wonderful pictures, Rosemary!!! You ARE a beautiful bride!
I loved the sky in your wedding day pictures. Very cool.
It rained on my wedding day, too, significantly changing the venue of the ceremony. But the sun did come out during the actually ceremony, so we're sure there was a rainbow!!!
Congratulations!
I hope you feel better soon, sweetie!

Sorry to hear about all the problems with your trip down and back from St. Croix.
Yes, it seems like we do spend a lot of time on lymenet. But, its for a good reason. We can help others and receive help as well. We will all get through this together.

Thanks again, for all the well-wishes. Finally, I am much better. The cold I got was one of those horrible summer ones that just didn't want to leave my body and has left me now with chest conjestion.
I got around to changing my name earlier this week...haven't changed it in over 20 years and still have several more to do, yet.
BUT, the worst of all, is, that our much loved 7 year old one-eyed 22lb yellow tabby is missing and we haven't seen him since late last Friday or early Saturday morning.
I've done every thing, contacted CCAPS (local rescue group), street department, animal control office, posted posters around town, called local radio "Friendly Show", have ad in local paper, called all vets offices, and have searched and searched each and everyday.
SOMEONE has to have seen our Riley, somewhere. An animal this large has to have been seen by someone. We are heartbroken. I know cats do this, but, he is neutered and so large he doesn't go off our property. He has his own Medium Dog Door (it takes that large of one cause he is so large) and a door through the fence, to be able to [i]get away[/] from Cayce, our Standard Poodle.
Anyway just wanted to share this and again, say thanks, you guys are the best.

Sorry about that, I uploaded all the trip pictures that were from lots of those throw away cameras.
I'm actually the one in the bridal gown...off white and floor length. Chip in the one next to me in the Tux.
Hopefully, today, I will be able to upload the ones my hired photographer took...they are soooo much better than the ones taken by people attending the wedding with those desposible cameras.
It takes a very long time when uploading with a high resolution...so, I'll try and get some of them uploaded, so you can see the "good" ones.
Anyway, thanks for the compliments. I realize now that I actually looked better than I felt at the time. I guess happiness can do that to ya, huh?
Mrs. Charles Whitfield Dolliver, III
that sounds good to me and taking 9 years to happen from the time we first met. So, don't give up on a relationship, I didn't.
You are so BEAUTIFUL and Chip is so HANDSOME.I think it's off to Hollywood to star in a TV special. You both could pass for movie stars!!!!
It is so nice to put a face with all of the postings. You have been thru so much and yet you never stopped helping others on Lyme Net. Your happiness in love is a wonderful reward!!!
I am so happy for you both. Even though you may be ill with Lyme Disease.........you look radiant!!!!!!!!!!!
